Summer has arrived, and parents are realizing that camps are a great way to entertain children during the summer months. It’s also a great time to introduce your child to other activities.
If you children are interested in horses, the Palos Verdes Stables pony camp might be a good way to introduce them to the world of horsemanship. The summer riding camp at Palos Verdes Stables gives kids a great opportunity to experience the horse world in a safe, hands on environment. Campers not only learn horse safety, proper horsemanship and basic riding skills, but their self-confidence grows as well. This will allow them to become more knowledgeable and comfortable around the horses. The stables offer experienced and energetic counselors who provide close supervision, instruction and encouragement for each camper. The camp even offers a unique amount of actual riding time for each student…an hour of riding each day and the opportunity for that experience both in the riding ring and trail riding. This program is for all levels of riders, from ages 6 through 12.
In addition to horsemanship skills, they also teach campers grooming & tacking of their horse. Campers also have free time to enjoy fun arts & crafts, painting a pony, and games.
The cost of weekly camps is $550 for Palos Verdes Estate residents, and $575 for non-residents. There will be 10 to 12 campers only in the group. The Camps will go from June 13 through August 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For more information click here.
