Palos Verdes Peninsula residents know that after the Hanukkah & Christmas holidays there is always lots of extra trash that is needed to be picked up.Each city has it’s own special programs for trees and extra packaging.

The City of Palos Verdes Estates will be picking up Christmas trees starting one week after the holiday, from January 1 through January 15, 2018. Please leave them in the same area as your green pick up. The City of Rolling Hills will be picking up trees starting December 26, through January 19,2018, and all trees over 6 feel must be cut in half. The City of Rancho Palos Verdes will start tree pick up service on December 26 through January 15, 2018, and any tree over 4 feet high should be cut in half. Rolling Hills Estates will be picking up trees from December 26 through January 13, 2018. Each of the above cities are requesting to please put trash in separate containers.

Palos Verdes Transit will once again be offering their free New Year’s Eve rides here on the Peninsula.This bus service is available to any Palos Verdes Peninsula resident from 6:00 p.m. on December 31, 2017, to 2:00 a.m. on January 1, 2018. It can be used to and from a restaurant, party or even just a small get together. Additionally, Palos Verdes Transit will pick you up from your own home and return you there at the end of the evening. The PV Transit has been offering this free service for years and it is just one of the great services available to Palos Verdes residents.
